Registered Nurse with ITU qualifications – I joined BOC as Respiratory Specialist, then was promoted to Account Manager, Medical Gases; Product Manager, Hospitals and then to my current role
WHY DID I APPLY TO BOC:
I applied to BOC because it was a global Company – which offered me a wonderful opportunity to work in an area that was totally new. I also found the challenge exciting!
MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Sales Manager I have 6 account Managers under me. I am responsible for;
• Profitability for my area
• Coaching and mentoring for the Account Managers
• Winning new business
• Maintain current business
• Promote added value to our customers
• Ensuring that the Account Managers have the appropriate tools to do their job
• Communicate to internal and external customers
THE MOST EXCITING THING ABOUT MY ROLE:
The most exciting thing about my role is that it is forever changing. The Medical business is now very competitive, which in its self is very challenging. Winning new business and maintaining current business is vital to our growth. Finally I find seeing new Account Managers, with coaching grow into their role and develop, very satisfying.

Now that Medical Gases UK is part of the global Linde Gas Therapeutics there will be many more exciting opportunities available to all who work in this area.
