WHY DID I APPLY TO BOC:
I applied to BOC because I was working for Manpower driving agency to help them cover a temporary role. When I was working for BOC as a temporary employee I personally felt a part of a caring, professional team with a high standard of safety awareness for not only for the customer but also for their employees. I also applied because I enjoyed the customer interaction and the way that BOC allowed you to become territory managers allowing me to put my own ideas into the job.
MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
To manage a team of 8 Sales Service Persons and Two cover provider I three different locations around the country in order to achieve the targets for their relevant territories such as profit, safety and customer service. I also work with other Team Managers across Sure-serve and other departments within BOC to deliver the overall service area profit and safety targets that have been set for the Midland area.
THE MOST EXCITING THING ABOUT MY ROLE:
The most exciting thing about my job is that no one-day is the same; there is always a different challenge to succeed in, and problems to solve. Also another thing that is personally exciting in my role is that I get to help and develop members of my team so that they can grow within their roles.
WHERE COULD YOU SEE YOUR CAREER GOING?:
I would like to think that one-day I could go into an Area Manager / Operational role in Sureserve or another division of BOC.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT BOC?:
The thing that I like about BOC is that they are very much a caring and safety aware company who allow their employees to express their ideas to help the company grow and develop. Also as a company they allow me to personally develop not only in my activities at work but also in my personal activities, as I am a member of the Territorial Army.
