We have developed and refined our oxy-fuel combustion systems over many years of working in the transformation industries. We have expertise in design, testing and modelling of combustion systems and optimise our customer’s processes through improvements in combustion efficiency, productivity and quality, whilst reducing costs and pollutant emissions.
- Our heat transfer system for one of world’s leading glass producers increased productivity in their float glass furnace by 19 percent over air-fuel operation and by 9 percent over conventional oxy-fuel. Our solution exceeded our customer’s expectations for increasing pull whilst maintaining exacting product quality.

Products
The following gases are supplied in bulk or are generated on-site.
- Oxygen – to support the combustion.
- Hydrogen – used with oxygen for combustion in MCVD (modified chemical vapour deposition), OVD (outside vapour deposition) and VAD (vapour axial deposition) processes.
- Nitrogen – for use as a protective atmosphere.
In addition we supply other combustion products, including:
- A wide range of burners – including our patented BOC-Maxon flat-jet LEFF burner, conical style burner and SURE burners.
- Convective glass melting systems (CGM) – to extend furnace life, increase pull rate, improve quality, and minimise energy consumption.
- G-Test gases – methane and methane mixtures to test the efficiency of engine combustion.
