Products

Medical Diagnosis is just one element of our offering to the Healthcare industry. For diagnosis we provide:

• Helium – the only medium that can cool MRI electromagnetic coils to superconductive levels. This cooling decreases the metal's ordinary resistance to the electrical current and results in high-resolution images.
• Lung function mixtures
  • Standard gas mixtures licensed by the UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) as suitable for use in respiratory tests.
  • Special gas mixtures - MHRA approved products made under BOC's 'specials' licence at the request of clinicians.
• Blood gas analysis mixtures – a mixture of carbon dioxide in oxygen to calibrate blood gas analysers.
• Carbogen – a breathable tumour detection hyperoxic gas. It increases oxygenation level and therefore the radiosensitivity of tumours.

Services

We provide a range of Helium MRI refill services designed to lower cost and increase scanner availability. Our services include:

• Helium level monitoring.
• Scheduled deliveries based on past usage.
• Filling of MRI/NMR systems.
• Maintenance of the MRI.
• Helium re-capture and re-cycle.
