• Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) – to determine furnace output, temperature, burner placement, positioning of exhaust flues, waste gas temperatures and other parameters to increase furnace output.
• Furnace design recommendations – a comprehensive package to support your critical decisions about furnace design and performance parameters.
• Supply and installation of burners – for optimum heat transfer and temperature stability.
• Experienced technicians and project managers –  to assist in the installation and start-up of our oxy-fuel combustion systems including zero-port boost.
• Oxy-fuel system services – audits, improvements and management.

Products

Our gases are supplied as bulk or manufactured on site depending on your needs:

• Oxygen –  for blast furnace and Corex ironmaking, steelmaking in the Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF), combustion in EAF steelmaking and lead and zinc refining, and for injection in Argon Oxygen Decarburisation (AOD) for stainless steel.
• Nitrogen –  for purging, blanketing, degassing, metal bubbling and stirring.
• Argon – total inertness for blanketing, shrouding, decarburisation in the Argon Oxygen Decarburisation (AOD) process for stainless steel, and ladle metallurgy for degassing and stirring to achieve exact composition specification.
• Carbon dioxide – for foundry sand moulding and for red fume suppression during hot metal transfers.

Other relevant products include:

• Burners  –  including Flat Jet burners, LES burner
• Gaseous chemicals – such as chlorine for metal purification, hydrogen sulphide for metal separation, ammonia as a leaching agent to recover metals from waste water and a range of products for blanketing reactive metals and steel and aluminium degassing.
